Michael Basile, a veteran in law enforcement with over 17 years of experience, is the founder and President of TB Defense. His journey began with the Chicago Police Department, where he served in multiple units, including the Bureau of Organized Crime. Here, he was integral to a Federal Task Force, conducting Title III wiretap/electronic interceptions, covert surveillance, top-secret investigations, and providing high-level executive protection.

Earning a promotion within the department, Michael ascended to the rank of Homicide Detective, a role in which he solved complex murder cases. His duties included conducting interviews, locating and interviewing witnesses, re-canvassing crime scenes, obtaining surveillance footage, searching criminal databases, conducting social media searches, extracting cell phone data, triangulating cell tower data, and collaborating with various law enforcement agencies.

After his time in the homicide division, Michael was assigned as a detective in the counterterrorism division, working at the CPIC (Crime Prevention Information Center/Fusion Center at the Chicago Police Department. His expertise and dedication to ensuring public safety led him to provide protective intelligence for the Mayor of Chicago and other public officials.

This work entailed a proactive effort to identify, assess, and mitigate threats to the safety and security of these high-profile individuals, safeguarding them from various threat actors such as extremists, stalkers, and foreign adversaries.

In the realm of counterterrorism, Michael's focus was on preventing, detecting, and responding to terrorist threats. His responsibilities spanned intelligence gathering, threat assessment, inter-agency collaboration, investigative operations, prevention and intervention strategies, crisis response, training, education, and policy development. His expertise in these areas have been crucial in maintaining safety and security in today's complex world.

A licensed Private Investigator and Private Security Contractor, Michael also holds a master's degree in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Administration. His diverse background and deep expertise ensure TB Defense upholds a gold standard in private investigation and security services.
